A Plein Air event at Chatham Manor, Fredericksburg, VA
I am glad that I visited Virginia in October, 2023 and participated again in a Plein Air painting at Chatham Manor, Fredericksburg, VA. During the American Civil War, Chatham, a Georgian-style mansion home, served as a Union headquarters and field hospital. There is a lot of history in this old home and a beautiful garden. I painted a Gazebo with Pan statue.

The Crow, and Durer's Magic Square
This painting about a transformation. What part of my
life is or may be going through a transition? Our neighbor loves crows: feeds
them all the time. I can watch crows near my house every day. I find them quite
mysterious. The Crow holds a gold key and looks at Dürer's magic square. Symbol
Key represents knowledge and success. This key with symbol heart can open all doors
if you feel of love and enthusiasm for something, and in a direct, passionate and
true way. With this key you can show a beauty in things to others by painting
or drawing it.
